Our Core Values Acts 2:44 captures one of the great principles of the Christian church as it says, “And all who believed were together and had all things in common.” While we esteem and celebrate the uniqueness of every member at Sandalwood Worship Center, we unashamedly value six core areas in the life of our church. Together, these shared values identify who we are, rally us toward all that we desire to accomplish, and unite us in fellowship.
Pastor Michael Smith
Pastor Michael Amiel Smith Sr preached his first message at 12 years of age and has been in pastoral ministry since 1997. He served as associate minister of the Greater Bethany Church of God in Christ in Fresno, Ca for 3 years. Interim pastor of the Gospel House Church of God in Christ, Fresno Ca, for 1 year. For the last 25 years Pastor Smith has served faithfully along with his wife of 30 years (Lady Chauvet Smith) as the founder and Sr. Pastor of the formerly known as True Light International Church remained Sandalwood Worship Center in 2022 in Fresno California. Pastor Mike as he is called by many is a native of Los Angeles CA. He served in the U.S. Army for 6 years with the highly decorated 82 nd Airborne Division and was honorable discharged at the rank of sergeant. He studied at the Career Training Institute where he earned an A.S. degree in Business Accounting. Pastor Mike holds a bachelor’s_ and master’s degree in biblical studies and Doctor of Ministry degree in Church Administration and Discipleship. As an effective teacher and communicator of the Word of God, Pastor Mike is known for his practical and dynamic teaching style which helps people apply the timeless truths of Scripture to their everyday lives. He and his wife, Chauvet have been married since 1993. They are the proud parents of three adult children and eleven grandchildren.
First Lady Chauvet Smith
Evangelist Chauvet Smith affectionately referred to as “Lady Smith is a native of Pasadena California. She received her formal education at McLane High school in Fresno Ca. After graduation, she attended Fresno City College majoring in computer science. Lady Smith is now pursuing her undergrad degree in Psychology from the Fresno State University. Lady Smith along the side of her husband of 30 years founded True Light International Church in 1999 where she faithfully served as the Chief Administer of True Light as well as other positions in the church. In 2022 the Church underwent a name change to Sandalwood Worship Center. Lady Smith also the founder of the Women of a Greater Call Ministry whose mission is to assist women in achieving Spiritual and Emotional Success. As a true woman of character that Loves the things of God, it is her desire to open a home for children of all ethnic backgrounds who have been displaced and provided a safe home atmosphere where the Love of God will always be displayed. Lady Smith is the mother of 3 adult children and grandmother of 9 children.

Our weekday and weekend gatherings take a lot of people to make them work, from ushers to greeters, youth and adult group leaders, our care ministry and everywhere in-between.
